Mohamed Ashmal Ahmed

The captain of the team, Ashmal has emerged as one of the best young players in the Maldivian basketball. His ability to fly past the defenders coast to coast makes him feared among every opponent. Fast breaks are his main forte and his ball-handling skills along with his leaping abilities enables him to get to the rim and finish at a high percentage. His height and reach makes him a tenacious player on the defensive end with some crucial blocks and steals. His drive and dedication is the reason towards his continued growth in the game.

Ashmal started his basketball career from Jamaluddin school and later joined Dharumavantha school for his secondary education. He has won numerous awards individually and as a team in the inter school circuit. The highly skilled player has been a constant face among the best five players in almost every tournament he plays.
