Redwings took flight in 2017. The team's signature brand of fast, attacking basketball contributed to both success on court and support among Maldivian basketball enthusiasts. Founded around a talented, youthful core, Redwings' graduated to Division One for their third season.

By their second outing in the top division, the team, coached by former national team star and medal-winning coach Ahmed Nazeef, the Club had firmly cemented their place among the elite four clubs in the country. Prioritising continuity, Redwings aspires to reach the pinnacle of the domestic game and write themselves into the annals of Maldivian basketball history.

Redwings Basketball Club play home games in their customary crimson red, with their away uniforms being black and white.
